A prominent Lebanese analyst underscored that formation of a coalition among Iran, Turkey and Egypt as well as Syria could undermine hegemonic policies in the region. "Any move fostering close ties among the regional countries and nations would be a barrier against the hegemony of colonialism," Head of the Center for Arab and International Studies Ghalib Qandil told FNA on Tuesday.  "Projects that are based on close ties between Iran, Turkey, Egypt and Syria will serve the common interests of the regional nations

and governments and will lead to their stronger independence," Qandil reiterated. He further stated that Iran is a "strategic force" in the Middle-East and can form a strong power in region together with Turkey, Egypt and Syria to defend the independence of the Middle-Eastern nations. On Sunday, Secretary of Iran's Expediency Council Mohsen Rezayee in a letter to the Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad asked for the creation of a united front by

Iran, Turkey and Iraq to support the regional nations in their uprisings against their tyrannical rulers. "I ask your eminence and the respectable parliament to show a more proactive spiritual and political support for the rising nations, and don't be afraid of accusations about Iran's interference in the regional countries," Rezayee said in his open letter to President Ahmadinejad.Iran has always announced that it supports the demands of the regional nations, but at the same time avoids interference in their internal affairs. Tehran has called on the regional rulers to respect their nations' demands.
